Overview
Senior Tax Manager position available with a well-established public accounting and advisory firm. This fully remote role is preferred for candidates located in the Pacific or Mountain time zones. The firm serves a diverse client base, focusing on closely held businesses, real estate, construction, partnerships, and professional services.
Responsibilities
- Manage and review complex business tax engagements from planning through final delivery.
- Serve as the primary advisor for clients across various industries including construction, real estate, partnerships, professional services, manufacturing, agriculture, transportation, and nonprofit organizations.
- Review federal and state tax returns for closely held businesses and their owners.
- Mentor and develop tax staff, seniors, and managers.
- Collaborate directly with firm leadership on client strategy and tax planning initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to expand client relationships through additional tax and advisory services.
- Participate actively in business development and practice growth.
Requirements
- CPA certification required.
- Minimum of 7 years of public accounting tax experience.
- Current experience reviewing complex business tax returns.
- Strong background working with closely held businesses, partnerships, and pass-through entities.
- Experience serving clients in industries such as construction, real estate, or professional services is highly preferred.
- Previous leadership experience managing teams and client relationships.
- Interest in advancing into a future leadership or Partner-track role.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary up to $220,000, depending on experience.
- Performance-based annual bonus; high-performing Senior Tax Managers have earned $40,000+ in annual bonuses.
