Overview
A growing company specializing in hair wellness is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable (A/P) Associate to join their team. This role involves managing high volumes of invoices, vendor relationships, and collaborating closely with Accounting, Finance, and other business partners to ensure accurate and timely financial processing. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to process improvements and work in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
Responsibilities
- Process and review a high volume of inventory and operating expense (OPEX) invoices accurately and efficiently
- Manage vendor invoice intake, credit memos, coding, and routing for approval
- Ensure invoices are approved by the appropriate departments in a timely manner
- Create and maintain vendor master records, including setups and updates in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and ExFlow
- Perform vendor statement reconciliations and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Research and respond promptly to vendor and internal team inquiries
- Analyze accounts payable aging and proactively identify and resolve outstanding issues
- Review marketing expenses on cost trackers to ensure invoicing and records accuracy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounts payable processes
- Support additional accounting and accounts payable ad hoc requests as needed
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- Minimum 5 years of invoice processing experience in a manufacturing or retail environment
- Experience in a start-up or high-growth eCommerce or consumer packaged goods (CPG) business is required
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, invoice matching, reconciliations, and vendor management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and ExFlow systems
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and communicate effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Suite
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated passion for accounting operations and willingness to assist the team as needed
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $85,000 - $95,000 USD (annual base salary)
