Overview
A leading branded beverage company in North America, focused on healthy hydration, is seeking a Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist. This role supports business growth and profitability by managing Customer Direct order to cash processes within one of the sub teams in National Account Services, which include DSD/Retail, Account Master Data, Distributor, Special Billing, or Accounts Receivable.
This is a remote position based in the US, requiring work on an Eastern Standard Time (EST) schedule.
Salary: $47,560 - $59,420
Responsibilities
- Manage an average of $3 million in accounts receivable within an assigned portfolio of customers, providing hands-on and tailored support throughout the end-to-end customer process.
- Collaborate with accounts payable departments of high-revenue commercial customers (annual revenue > $50K) to request payment on past due balances while maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Collect payments, accurately record them in systems, and reconcile using multiple internal and external platforms.
- Apply problem-solving skills to resolve customer payment issues at their root cause.
- Partner frequently with sales teams to support customers and enable continued business growth.
- Generate reports to analyze past due trends.
- Assist AR specialists with complex customer invoice issue resolution as needed.
- Create customized invoices per customer specifications and complete invoice revisions within compliance standards.
- Develop and manage ad hoc reports, analyze data to identify issues or trends, and collaborate with relevant parties to ensure root cause resolution.
- Maintain strong partnerships with high-value customers to support ongoing billing needs.
- Utilize multiple systems beyond traditional CRM platforms, including SAP, web portals, vendor payment portals, and banking portals.
- Work with Operations to ensure compliance in cash collection.
- Resolve escalated financial variances.
- Maintain customer master data, including pricing, exemptions, and restrictions.
- Self-manage workload and work independently to meet monthly key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Perform other duties and special projects as required.

Qualifications
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- 3-5 years of experience working within Retail Management Systems (RMS) preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to provide continuous hands-on and tailored support for complex customer needs.
- Strong relationship-building skills to enable business revenue growth.
