Overview
A leading global tools and outdoor equipment brand is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their BLACK+DECKER Finance team. This role supports Category Management and Product Management teams by managing the total global BLACK+DECKER Brand P&L. The position offers remote/hybrid work options with primary locations in Towson, MD, and New Britain, CT.
Responsibilities
- Provide financial leadership and decision support to Category and Product Management teams.
- Manage the total global BLACK+DECKER Brand Profit & Loss (P&L).
- Support execution of brand strategy including category and portfolio analysis, global marketing, new product development, and market entry.
- Define focus areas and portfolio families relevant to the Tools & Outdoor industry to drive portfolio growth and margin expansion.
- Maintain a new product roadmap funnel aligned with strategic goals, focusing on global revitalization while managing capital and cost outcomes.
- Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships across Commercial, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams to enhance processes and achieve global P&L excellence.
- Evaluate financial potential of New Product Development (NPD) programs using Return on Capital (ROC) models and review key metrics such as IRR, NPV, and Payback.
- Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Minimum of 3 years of finance or business-related experience.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Effective interpersonal and leadership abilities.
- Proficient problem-solving, business case development, and communication skills.
- High business acumen with experience collaborating across cross-functional and business leadership.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Hyperion HFM and SAP or equivalent financial systems.
- Experience with Power BI and/or Alteryx is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $77,600 to $124,900 annually, varying by job level, location, skills, and experience.
