Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst will partner with Services Leadership to provide financial reporting, P&L analysis, planning, and forecasting. This role requires strong accounting and analytical skills, the ability to multitask, collaborate across all business levels, and excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret data to recommend actions and perform comparative analyses.
- Collaborate with management to improve operational and financial performance.
- Guide cost analysis processes by enforcing policies, providing trends, explaining techniques, and recommending actions.
- Assist in month-end close processes and financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly reporting package sub-schedules and P&L variance analysis.
- Develop best practice process flows within the area of responsibility.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses as requested by management.
- Create and maintain reports for senior management and present data appropriately.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts in partnership with the business and under management direction.
- Conduct budget-to-actual comparison analyses.
- Provide qualitative analysis and commentary on monthly results.
- Develop Key Performance Indicator (KPI) summary reporting and analysis.
- Maintain financial data accuracy and integrity through in-depth analysis of reports and underlying data.
- Review financial reports and question data anomalies.
- Initiate error detection controls and correction activities.
- Plan and manage business analysis across multiple projects and initiatives.
- Perform special assignments and analyses as requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 5 years of related business experience in a medium to large-sized organization.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, highly proficient in Excel (including formulas, V-lookups, pivot tables) and PowerPoint.
- Solid critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter capable of working independently with strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Extremely detail-oriented and resourceful.
- Experience with SAP is a plus.
- Experience with services accounting, revenue recognition, and percentage-of-completion accounting is a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion and personal judgment.
