Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst will provide essential financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to support strategic decision-making and improve financial performance. This role involves collaboration with senior leadership and business unit managers to develop financial models, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and prepare detailed financial reports to ensure the organization meets its financial health and business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and detailed breakdowns of key financial drivers.
  • Analyze revenue, expenses, and profitability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support strategic initiatives and decision-making.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, working closely with department heads to ensure accuracy and alignment with business goals.
  • Monitor actual financial performance against forecasts and budgets, analyze variances, and provide insights on corrective actions.
  • Develop financial models to support budgeting and forecasting aligned with organizational strategies.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and business unit managers to provide financial insights and drive business performance improvements.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions and assist in financial decision-making related to capital expenditures, cost management, and resource allocation.
  • Support pricing decisions, investment analysis, and profitability analysis by providing data-driven recommendations.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Drive automation and adoption of best practices in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles (GAAP), internal policies, and external regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with auditing standards.
  • Develop, track, and monitor key financial performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable recommendations to improve business performance and profitability.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • MBA or professional certifications such as CFA or CPA preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, planning, and budgeting.
  • Proven experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and financial statement analysis.
  • Experience in a corporate finance environment, preferably within a large or growing organization.

  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make data-driven recommendations.
  • High attention to detail ensuring accuracy and consistency in financial reporting.
  • Effective communication skills to convey financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to achieve business goals.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Frequent sitting, standing, and use of hand and finger dexterity.
  • Frequent use of visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and use a keyboard.
  • Occasional lifting of 20-30 pounds.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
