Overview
A leading educational service provider and omnichannel retailer supporting over 6 million students through more than 1,100 physical and 1,750 eCommerce campus stores across North America is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst. This role involves advanced financial analysis, complex modeling, and strategic business acumen to lead the finance team in delivering timely financial results and driving forecasting, strategic planning, and operational planning processes.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of overall forecast, strategic plan, and operating plan by providing insights into key business drivers and identifying risks and opportunities.
- Assist with balance sheet and cash flow planning, forecasting, and monthly analysis.
- Apply business knowledge to offer insights and identify opportunities for improved results.
- Perform financial modeling to support existing and new business initiatives, enhancing decision-making and overall performance.
- Conduct data mining and research to identify trends and relationships that impact results.
- Prepare monthly reporting and business analysis, supporting ongoing enhancements.
- Collaborate with other business areas to resolve new issues and drive outcomes.
- Train and develop new team members on basic tasks, duties, and skillsets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Advanced computer skills including MS Office, MS Excel, Hyperion, and financial reporting systems.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- CPA or MBA preferred.
- Willingness to work additional hours during peak activity periods such as strategic and operating plan cycles.
Compensation & Benefits
- Target Annualized Salary: $80,000 - $90,000
