Overview

This role is for a Senior Strategic Finance Analyst who will act as a finance business partner, ensuring the execution of sound financial management practices. The position involves partnering with executives and senior management to develop and drive plans that optimize resource use and achieve balanced financial, operational, and strategic business outcomes. The analyst will translate the goals of the Life, Absence, and Disability (LAD) business area and overall company strategy into actionable financial objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and facilitate financial management programs linking financial, operational, and business strategy to drive measurable results.
  • Partner with business units to implement processes and tools that promote transparency, collaboration, and disciplined decision-making; monitor effectiveness through key performance measures.
  • Advise and influence the business on a wide range of issues and lead positive internal change.
  • Conceptualize solutions and develop alternatives to complex problems with a broad perspective.
  • Provide in-depth consultation sought after by the business.
  • Analyze and influence outcomes of operational efficiency initiatives such as benchmarking, Lean, and structured problem solving.
  • Develop complex financial models and analyses using advanced analytical techniques and financial systems.
  • Communicate complex issues clearly, extracting and articulating key business points effectively.
  • Mentor junior analysts and educate leadership on strategic finance topics including cost-benefit analysis, return on investment, resource analysis, and cost competitiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in a client-focused finance partner or finance consultant role.
  • Proven ability to gather and analyze data, perform financial and strategic analysis, and develop business cases that lead to actionable recommendations.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trust and credibility in a matrixed leadership environment.
  • Strong business acumen with understanding of operations, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Ability to proactively identify trends and provide analysis and recommendations to support financial strategy.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $88,000.00 - $129,000.00, based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, position budget, internal equity, and market data.
  • Eligibility for an annual incentive bonus plan subject to program rules and individual and organizational performance.
