Staff Accountant - Client Accounting Services

Overview

This role is for a Staff Accountant in Client Accounting Services, supporting multiple clients in a fully remote environment. The position involves real client accounting responsibilities (not data-entry bookkeeping) with ownership of assigned client books.

Two (2) Staff Accountants are needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting for multiple clients using QuickBooks Online
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on an ongoing basis
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including P&L and balance sheets
• Record and review journal entries for payroll, revenue, accruals, and adjustments
• Support month-end close with accuracy and consistency
• Assist with cleanup of prior-period books for new clients when needed
• Collaborate with managers and teammates to ensure work is completed on time
• Occasionally join onboarding or client calls when clarification or support is needed

What Success Looks Like

• Client books are consistently clean and current
• Bank feeds are reviewed regularly throughout the month
• Clients receive timely responses and clear communication
• Ability to manage clients with varying levels of complexity
• Steady work patterns throughout the month rather than end-of-month cramming

Requirements

• 2 or more years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a public accounting or outsourced accounting environment
• Strong QuickBooks Online experience
• Solid understanding of debits and credits and how financial statements work
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior cleanup experience (BIG PLUS)
