Staff Accountant (SNF)

Overview

A healthcare organization is seeking an Assembler to join their motivated finance team. This role involves preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports for multiple skilled nursing facilities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in monthly close processes, and collaborating with internal teams and external consultants.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements for assigned facilities within established deadlines
• Facilitate monthly close procedures
• Prepare monthly reconciliations and schedules
• Analyze revenues and expenses to ensure proper recording and report on variances
• Manage all details of the general ledger for assigned facilities and understand transaction flows
• Collaborate with outside consultants and accountants on two year-end cost reports and year-end financial statements
• Respond promptly to inquiries from other departments to avoid delays in closing
• Prepare and provide specific reports and information requested by clients throughout the month
• Provide required information to banks after finalizing monthly financials

Requirements

• Minimum of one year accounting experience in the skilled nursing facility (SNF) industry
• Experience with Sage Intacct software
• Strong understanding of accounting theory
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to analyze and synthesize information to identify issues and options
• Ability to engage with a wide range of clients across the organization
• Collaborative approach to working with interdepartmental team members

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $65,000 to $75,000 USD annually, based on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable laws
