Staff Accountant

Overview

This role supports a client service team working with clients in the Venture Capital & Private Equity space. As a Staff Accountant, you will perform foundational accounting tasks that enable the broader team to succeed. The position offers hands-on accounting experience while building client service skills.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile banking transactions and prepare journal entries in accordance with US GAAP in Xero
• Maintain investor information, investment information, and other fund metrics in FundPanel system
• Maintain legal documents, including formation documents, investment documents, and other relevant client information in Box
• Process accounts payable on a weekly basis using Bill.com
• Prepare intercompany invoicing and process reimbursements
• Prepare and obtain documents for annual audit and tax process
• Handle special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 0 – 2 years of work experience or professional internships in relevant accounting roles
• Bachelor’s degree (Finance or Accounting preferred)
• Strong problem-solving and resourceful mindset
• Strong organizational skills and ability to lead projects
• Commitment to excellent customer service and attention to detail
• Working experience with Excel and Word
• Comfort learning new software systems and becoming proficient with tools used
• Strong interest in building an accounting career

Preferred Qualifications

• Diverse work experience in a service-focused role is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $60,000 - $72,500
