Overview

This role involves serving as a Forensic Accountant at the Staff or Senior level for a firm providing accounting, tax, advisory, and business consulting services to middle-market businesses, insurance carriers, law firms, and other organizations across the United States.

Most assignments focus on commercial property insurance matters, evaluating physical damage and business income losses resulting from catastrophes. The position is based anywhere in Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze historical financial and industry information
  • Develop and evaluate revenue and expense projections
  • Support insurance claim evaluations
  • Perform economic damage evaluations
  • Conduct forensic accounting and litigation support services across a range of industries (from small local retail stores to multinational entities)

Requirements

  • 1–5 years of public accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Intermediate-level Microsoft Excel and Word skills
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • Ability to travel overnight, as needed (approximately 10–15%)

  • CPA (preferred but not required)

  • Base compensation typically ranges between $75,000 and $110,000, based on candidate level of experience and potential
