Overview

The organization is seeking a Strategic Finance Analyst to support investor relations, capital structure analysis, and CFO-level strategic finance initiatives. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in investment banking or private equity, strong financial modeling skills, and a deep understanding of leverage and capital structures. The position is part of the Investor Relations & Treasury team, focusing on sponsor communications, capital markets activity, liquidity planning, scenario modeling, and board-level financial analysis.

Responsibilities

Sponsor & Lender Support

  • Prepare analytical materials for private equity sponsors, lenders, and board observers, including leverage, liquidity, and return-focused analyses
  • Build and maintain detailed models for debt capacity, cash flow, refinancing scenarios, and covenant sensitivity
  • Respond promptly and accurately to ad-hoc analytical requests from sponsors and lenders

Capital Structure & Treasury Analytics

CFO & Executive Support

  • Provide analytical support to the CFO on strategic finance topics such as M&A evaluation, downside/upside scenarios, and long-range planning
  • Contribute to board and Audit Committee materials requiring complex financial modeling or capital markets insight
  • Serve as a flexible resource during key events including earnings, refinancing, transactions, and board cycles

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with FP&A, Accounting, and Legal teams to ensure consistency across forecasts, external reporting, and financing materials
  • Act as a liaison between Investor Relations, Treasury, and the broader Finance organization without duplicating core FP&A responsibilities

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or strategic finance, preferably with exposure to leveraged capital structures
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field
  • Advanced financial modeling skills including three-statement models, cash flow analysis, debt waterfalls, and returns analysis
  • Strong understanding of debt instruments, leverage, PIK interest, and private equity ownership structures
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to produce executive- and sponsor-ready materials
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to senior-level requests

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFA designation or progress toward CFA
  • Master’s degree in Finance or a related discipline
  • Experience working with private equity-backed companies or middle-market sponsors
  • Prior exposure to investor relations, capital markets, or treasury functions
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; comfortable working directly with senior executives and external stakeholders
