Overview
A Tax Accountant position is available, based in Wilmington, DE or remote within the United States. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. The role may be office-based with hybrid work arrangements considered.
Responsibilities
- Prepare federal and state S-Corporation and C-Corporation tax returns along with supporting workpapers.
- Assist with calculations related to entity-level state tax accruals, estimated payments, extension payments, and the K-1 process.
- Research and analyze new tax legislation and key tax issues.
- Collaborate with the broader finance team, including Treasury, Accounting, Legal, and International Tax teams, on tax-related matters.
- Support process improvements, including automation initiatives and updating or creating policies and procedures.
- Assist with responding to state tax notices and audit requests.
- Provide support to the shareholder relations Tax Accountant as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (B.S. or B.A.)
- Minimum of 1 year of tax experience in public accounting or a large organization; experience with S-Corporation or Partnership tax preferred.
- Multi-state tax compliance experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of state and local tax technical issues.
- Experience with Corptax tax compliance software is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power Pivot and Alteryx is also a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
