  • File monthly provisional ISR and IVA payments, DIOT, and the annual corporate return.
  • Manage Buzón Tributario and handle SAT requests, audits, and clarifications.
  • Track tax reform each year (Paquete Económico, Miscelánea Fiscal) and translate changes into product and process requirements.

Accounting and reporting

  • Maintain the Mexican entity’s books under Mexican GAAP (NIF) and SAT electronic accounting (chart of accounts and monthly trial balance submissions).
  • Run the monthly close for Mexico, including bank, payment processor, seller payout, and withholding reconciliations.
  • Prepare US GAAP reporting packages for consolidation and support US audit and board reporting.
  • Manage local payroll compliance (ISR withholding, IMSS, PTU profit sharing) as the team grows.

Advisors and risk

  • Select and manage outside advisors: law firm, payroll provider, dictamen or audit firm, and transfer pricing specialists.
  • Support tax and regulatory review of new products (e.g., prepaid buyer balances and cash payment methods), including implications related to IFPE and anti-money-laundering.
  • Build the Mexico compliance calendar and ensure all filings are completed on time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
