Overview

This role supports the adoption of AI and enabling technologies across a large tax professional team of over 1,000 members. It involves a combination of enablement, requirements translation, co-building, and disciplined testing. Positioned at the intersection of tax technical work and AI/technology execution, the role partners with tax subject matter experts (SMEs) and product/technology teams to translate tax workflows into usable tools, repeatable workflows, and scalable training.

The position contributes to the full delivery lifecycle: discovery and requirements gathering, enablement and co-building, user acceptance testing, and iterative improvement, with a focus on practical outcomes, user experience, and responsible use within controlled enterprise tools.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with tax SMEs to map technical tax workflows and identify high-value tasks suitable for AI/technology augmentation.
  • Produce high-quality user stories, requirements documentation, and acceptance criteria to support product enhancement and tool development.
  • Maintain organized backlogs and documentation to enable efficient triage, prioritization, and delivery.
  • Plan and lead enablement sessions for tax teams and new hires, including live trainings, recorded content, office hours, and targeted role-based upskilling.
  • Create training materials and practical exercises that translate AI concepts into daily tax work outcomes.
  • Assist tax practitioners in developing AI-enabled workflows and tools within controlled technology environments (e.g., enterprise ChatGPT solutions, Alteryx, proprietary platforms).
  • Help convert one-off experimentation into standardized assets such as templates, playbooks, reusable prompts, and documented procedures.
  • Create and publish internal communications, user guides, instructions, release notes, and change management documentation to drive adoption and consistency.
  • Contribute to practice-facing thought leadership on applied AI in tax, responsible use, and emerging capabilities.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing sessions with tax teams; document outcomes, issues, and enhancement opportunities.
  • Log defects and improvement stories with clear reproduction steps and prioritization context.
  • Support QA testing and validate fixes/enhancements before broader release.

This role partners with:

  • Tax practitioners and SMEs (end users, workflow owners)
  • Tax leadership and enablement leaders (adoption goals, prioritization, communications)

  • Proficiency with ChatGPT or equivalent enterprise-grade customizable AI chat tools, including the ability to produce repeatable workflows and guidance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility with tax professionals and lead group enablement sessions.
  • High organizational discipline: documentation, backlog tracking, follow-through, and clear status communication.
