Tax Consultant

Overview

The Tax Consultant partners with customers to support a successful transition to operations, including both pre- and post-go live projects. This role requires knowledge of federal, state, and local/city tax requirements to complete tax set-up within the OSV TaxEx system.

You will gather and review relevant legal and required documentation to ensure the customer’s taxing jurisdictions are configured accurately and in accordance with authoritative guidelines. The position also emphasizes driving customer satisfaction and collaborating with internal teams to bridge gaps for a smooth customer transition.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers and deployment partners to understand, define requirements, and guide customers through the implementation process for OSV tax services
• Configure the TaxEx application in accordance with customer requirements
• Identify and analyze tax needs and data requirements
• Work with customers to identify and resolve issues that could impact project scope or delivery of service
• Lead the tax implementation process from start to finish
• Consult with customers on data integrity issues
• Conduct checkpoints with customers to support timely delivery of tax services and collection of outstanding project documents
• Conduct customer calls clearly and concisely
• Ensure customer projects are planned and properly monitored

Qualifications

Required

• Previous experience working with either TaxEx OR Workday, PeopleSoft or other ERP HR/Payroll systems/applications with tax-specific configuration experience
• 3–5 years project management experience with Payroll, Payroll Tax or Financial implementations
• Effective consulting experience
• Ability to collaborate with customers to define project expectations and ensure consistency with strategic direction
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and have strong written and verbal communication skills
• Passion for customer service
