A Top 225 Public Accounting firm is seeking a fully remote Tax Manager to join their team. This role offers a flexible work environment with a focus on work-life balance and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Review tax returns for individuals, businesses, estates, and trusts, addressing complex tax issues and IRS notices.
- Conduct in-depth tax research and provide strategic consulting to clients.
- Oversee multiple client engagements, budgets, and deliverables.
- Support business development by meeting with prospects, preparing proposals, and expanding services.
- Develop client relationships through creative service enhancements and networking.
- Deliver in-house training, write tax-related articles, and participate in industry events.
- Assist with recruiting efforts and mentoring staff.
- Accurately record time and expenses for efficient billing.
- Lead and mentor staff, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
- Plan and manage projects effectively.
- Handle additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or Finance (Master's preferred).
- Active CPA license required.
- Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience with increasing complexity in tax preparation.
- Proven supervisory experience.
- Experience serving clients across a variety of industries; industry generalist preferred.
- Must reside in the U.S. to qualify for this fully remote position.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $120,000 - $135,000 per year.
- Fully remote work.
- 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off).
- Closed the week between Christmas and New Year's (not charged as PTO).
