Overview
A national public accounting firm is seeking a Tax Senior Manager for its National Tax Office (NTO) to provide technical tax services related to compensation and benefits and employment taxes. This role offers opportunities for professional growth, training, and development. Candidates should be highly motivated tax professionals with a CPA and/or JD. Government experience is considered a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide federal tax expertise related to compensation and benefits and employment taxes to professionals and clients.
- Collaborate with internal specialists to ensure comprehensive and technically sound tax consulting and advisory services.
- Work closely with Human Resources Consulting teams to ensure federal tax and ERISA compliance.
- Participate in national compensation and benefits professional groups.
- Conduct research and prepare technical tax memoranda.
- Develop thought leadership and external marketing materials.
- Deliver internal staff training on tax issues.
- Assist with internal and external webinars and presentations.
- Support firm-wide quality control procedures.
Requirements
- CPA and/or JD required.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience working with federal tax issues related to compensation and benefits and employment taxes.
- Understanding of ERISA regulations.
- Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Engaging and effective presentation abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- High energy, entrepreneurial, and proactive approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in government tax roles is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $138,800 - $215,900, determined by role, experience, education, skills, and location.
