Overview

A professional services and business advisory firm is seeking a Tax Senior Manager to join their National Tax team. This is a remote position, though occasional presence at an office may be required for client work, team meetings, or training sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Research tax issues and filing requirements affecting tax compliance.
  • Review tax returns to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Research complex tax issues using the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury regulations, and other relevant authorities.
  • Draft tax technical memorandums.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the scope of current engagements by assessing client needs.
  • Participate actively in proposal development and lead responses to requests for proposals as directed.
  • Provide regular performance feedback and timely performance evaluations.
  • Develop subordinates' technical and industry skills and encourage professional growth.
  • Demonstrate initiative, vision, resourcefulness, creativity, and independent thinking.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a public accounting firm.
  • Experience in partnership or corporate tax required.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • CPA licensure.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of audit software such as CaseWare or ProSystem FX.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Location

Remote position; professionals are generally located within commutable distance to an office but this role does not require proximity to an office. Occasional office presence may be required with scheduled notice.
