Tax Staff Accountant (Fully Remote)

Overview

A CPA firm is seeking a Tax Staff Accountant (Fully Remote) to join its team. This is a fully remote role for an experienced tax professional who enjoys public accounting and wants to continue developing their career while working from home.

Location: Remote (Candidates must reside in the Eastern or Central Time Zone)

Employment Type: Full Time

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal and state individual, partnership, S corporation, and corporate tax returns
• Assist with tax planning and tax research projects
• Communicate with clients regarding tax-related questions and requests
• Work closely with managers and partners on client engagements
• Stay current on tax law changes and industry developments

Requirements

• 3+ years of public accounting tax experience
• Experience preparing 1040, 1065, 1120S, and 1120 tax returns
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines during busy season
• CPA or CPA candidate is preferred but not required
