Overview
Fully Remote Tax Supervisor position available for a U.S.-based candidate. The role offers up to $120,000 base salary plus a discretionary bonus. This opportunity is with a nationally recognized, independently owned CPA and advisory firm seeking an experienced tax professional to join their tax practice.
Responsibilities
- Manage and review federal, state, and income tax engagements for individuals, partnerships, S-corporations, and C-corporations
- Prepare and review complex tax returns and related workpapers
- Conduct technical tax research and provide solutions to client tax issues
- Communicate directly with clients to understand their needs and provide guidance
- Review work prepared by staff accountants, providing coaching and feedback
- Assist with tax planning strategies and advisory projects
- Manage multiple deadlines during peak tax seasons while maintaining accuracy and quality standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA license or CPA eligibility strongly preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of public accounting and tax experience
- Experience reviewing tax returns and supervising tax engagements
- Ability to manage client relationships and work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with high-net-worth individual taxation
- Partnership and S-Corp taxation experience
- Familiarity with tax research tools and accounting/tax software
