Overview
This organization is seeking an Onboarding Specialist to join the White Glove team. In this role, you will lead the first 60–90 days of every new client relationship—when trust is built and the operating cadence is set.
The ideal candidate has lived inside a family office or worked closely with one as an accountant or controller. You understand what a chart of accounts for a multi-generational family looks like, what reconciling alternative investments entails, and the rhythm of a quarterly close and a year-end audit. You will translate this operational expertise into a repeatable onboarding experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end onboarding for new private client, family office, and RIA accounts
- Coordinate with custodians, banks, and alternative investment platforms to establish data feeds
- Build the client’s chart of accounts, entity structure, and reporting framework inside the platform
- Reconcile historical data and ensure clean baselines from day one
- Train clients on the platform and establish reporting cadences that fit their needs
- Partner with Sales on pre-close calls to scope onboarding complexity accurately
- Hand off to the ongoing White Glove team with documentation that ensures continuity
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a family office (single or multi-family), wealth management firm, or accounting role with HNW/UHNW clients
- Operational depth: experience closing books, running audits, reconciling custodial data, and producing consolidated reports
- Exceptional attention to detail; accuracy in cost basis figures is critical
- Confidence working with sophisticated principals, advisors, and external accountants
- Strong process orientation; able to build the playbook while running the work
- Discretion and seriousness in handling real financial lives
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, CFA, or CFP credentials (strong plus, not required)
