Overview
A leading advisory, tax, and assurance firm is seeking a Workday Adaptive Planning Senior Consultant to join their Digital Advisory Services consulting practice. This role involves supporting organizations that have selected Workday Adaptive Planning as their Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solution to improve financial reporting, planning, and forecasting processes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver assigned implementation workstreams from discovery through deployment, ensuring high-quality deliverables and meeting project timelines and client expectations
- Facilitate working sessions with client teams to map business operations, define planning cycle goals, and identify key decision-making metrics
- Build, configure, and maintain financial forecasting and planning models in Workday Adaptive Planning aligned with client requirements and best practices
- Support the full implementation process including configuration, testing, and optimization of Workday Adaptive Planning
- Configure, implement, and troubleshoot integrations using JavaScript, SQL, APIs, JDBC, and other platforms to incorporate data from various ERP and source systems
- Automate workflows and reports to streamline clients' financial processes
- Identify opportunities to reduce clients' data compilation time to focus more on analysis and strategy
- Provide training to client teams to ensure effective use of implemented tools and systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; preferred majors include accounting, finance, business analytics, management information systems, fintech, or information systems
- Minimum of 3 years corporate financial accounting experience
- Minimum of 1 year corporate financial planning experience
- Experience in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), financial systems, or consulting preferred
- Workday Adaptive Planning or financial systems experience preferred
- Strong experience with JavaScript, SQL, and integration platforms for ERP data incorporation
- Solid understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and reporting; experience working with FP&A teams preferred
- Strong background in financial reporting, financial report systems, and data flows preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with data and systems to create efficiencies and improve decision-making
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences and articulate business value of system enhancements or process changes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel approximately 20% as needed
