Workday Functional Finance Consultant

Overview

A long-term contract opportunity is available for a Workday Functional Finance Consultant to work remotely. This role requires a Workday Finance Certification and involves implementing, configuring, and supporting Workday Financial Management solutions while aligning business processes with system capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business requirements for finance processes including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets, and Expenses
• Configure Workday Financial modules based on client needs
• Participate in end-to-end Workday implementations and support projects
• Design and document business processes and system workflows
• Conduct testing such as Unit Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and support issue resolution
• Provide post-go-live support and system enhancements
• Collaborate with technical teams for integrations and reporting
• Train end users and create functional documentation

Requirements

• Workday Finance Certification (mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of Workday Financial modules: GL, AP, AR, Asset Management, and Expenses
• Understanding of finance and accounting principles
• Experience in business process configuration
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Workday reporting
• Good communication skills for stakeholder engagement

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Workday implementation or support projects
• Additional certifications in Workday Financial Management (optional but valuable)
• Prior ERP experience with systems such as SAP or Oracle is an advantage
