Overview
This role involves managing accounts receivables for a community services organization.
Responsibilities
- Process deposits
- Generate and submit invoices to customers
- Record invoices in the accounts receivable system
- Record and reconcile customer payments
- Monitor and reconcile daily payment batches with accounting records
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding balances
- Maintain organized records of invoices, payments, and correspondence
- Assist with month-end closing activities and financial audits
- Serve as backup for accounts payable duties as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience with accounting responsibilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and staff
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous accounts receivable experience
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly salary range: $17.85 – $20.85
- Differential pay details:
- $1.00/hour for two years previous experience in a similar position
- $1.00/hour for tenure with the organization
- $1.00/hour for career ladder specialty
- Annual salary range equivalent: $33,128.00 - $43,368.00
