Overview
A leading manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting and accounting operations. This role involves managing general ledger activities, month-end and year-end closing processes, intercompany transactions, and financial analysis. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams including Operations, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and Group Finance to optimize financial performance and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post accurate journal entries, maintain general ledger accounts, and perform monthly reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
- Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and support month-end and year-end closing activities for timely and accurate reporting.
- Manage intercompany transactions, reconcile balances, and support consolidation processes using financial reporting tools.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to inform management decisions and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain fixed asset records, support CAPEX projects, and ensure compliance with depreciation and asset disposal standards.
- Implement and maintain internal controls, document processes, and support audit readiness through organized documentation and schedules.
- Participate in ERP system enhancements, testing, and automation initiatives to improve reporting efficiency and data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational activities, inventory management, and process improvements.
- Gather and analyze data for tax filings, regulatory compliance, and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience with intercompany accounting, consolidations, and manufacturing costing is highly advantageous.
- Technical proficiency in ERP systems such as TMM, IQMS, or similar manufacturing ERP platforms.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial reporting tools like EPM Amelkis.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset geared toward continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or MBA qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
