accounting lead (Partner)

Overview

A growing organization is seeking an experienced Accountant to build and develop a team and contribute to delivering value-added services in-house. This role involves being the primary client-facing representative, fostering strong relationships, and ensuring consistent, tangible results that drive additional revenue through client referrals.

Responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations
• Enter and reconcile credit card transactions
• Prepare month-end journal entries
• Generate monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports
• Develop forecasting and budget reports
• Oversee the accounting department and financials for multiple companies
• Manage month-end and year-end financial close processes
• Provide professional advice to small and medium-sized business (SMB) owners across various industries and complex situations

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar accounting role within private or corporate settings
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams and establish effective processes
• Strong relationship-building skills and client service orientation
• Leadership mindset with the ability to offer professional financial advice
• Authorization to work in the U.S. and residency within the country

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with SMB clients
• Ability to work independently and act as a business owner within the organization
• Flexibility to work remotely or relocate to Florida

Location
