Overview

This role builds and owns the finance function for an early-stage, data-driven healthcare diagnostics infrastructure organization. Responsibilities

  • Bring together financial and operational data to provide leadership with clear views of performance, risks, and opportunities
  • Own finance operations, including accounting oversight, financial close, cash management, tax coordination, and compliance
  • Manage and lead relationships with external bookkeeping, accounting, and tax partners to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and effective management
  • Design and implement finance processes, tools, reporting, and controls as the business scales, including decisions about what to build internally vs. outsource

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or a closely related operating finance role, with significant ownership of financial modeling and forecasting
  • Experience partnering with business leaders and influencing strategic or operational decisions through financial analysis
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including the ability to connect financial outcomes to commercial and operational drivers
  • Experience in a high-growth technology company, ideally at a stage where financial systems and processes were still being built
  • Builder mindset and appetite for broad ownership; excited to take responsibility for the entire finance function
  • Sufficient accounting and financial operations knowledge to own reporting, manage external providers, and ensure financial obligations are met
  • Hands-on approach working directly with data, building models, managing processes, and figuring things out without a large team
  • Strong communication skills and ability to make financial analysis useful to people outside finance
  • Comfort with ambiguity and genuine interest in learning new areas of finance as the business grows

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as an early finance hire or helping build a finance function from scratch
  • Experience in healthcare technology, infrastructure software, marketplaces, or other operationally complex businesses (SaaS billing experience a plus)

  • Experience supporting pricing, commercial strategy, or business expansion decisions
  • Experience managing outsourced accounting, bookkeeping, or tax relationships
