Accounting & Payments Specialist

Overview

This is a fully remote role.

The organization operates in the accounting and payments sector, supporting accurate and timely management of financial transactions, including expenses, sales orders, and creator payouts. The team also supports smooth revenue recognition and general ledger accuracy to enable effective month-end financial closing.

Responsibilities

• Review and process creator payments with accuracy and all necessary approvals
• Manage payouts through payment platforms and resolve payment issues
• Approve daily sales orders by verifying terms and customer details
• Identify and report discrepancies prior to order booking
• Record journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications in the general ledger
• Support revenue recognition and reconcile revenue to sales and billing records
• Reconcile payment platform activity to the general ledger
• Contribute to month-end close deliverables
• Review and approve employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with policy
• Coordinate reimbursements and manage related follow-ups
• Support payroll-related accounting entries as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, or payments operations
• Working knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and revenue
• Hands-on experience managing high-volume payment runs and payment platforms such as PayPal
• Strong attention to detail with a controls mindset for approvals and payment releases
• Effective written English communication and reliable engagement with US-based teams
• Availability to work consistent Pacific Time hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or progress toward ACCA/CPA
• Experience with Lumanu, Airbase, and Paylocity
• Background in influencer marketing, creator economy, or SaaS sectors
• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets

Compensation & Benefits

• Total compensation range: $60,000 to $75,000
• Final offer will depend on experience, expertise, and location
