Accounting Professional

Overview

This role is a contract Accounting Professional position based in San Diego, CA or remote, with approximately 5% travel to the San Diego headquarters for business purposes. The position reports to an Accounting Manager and offers an opportunity to gain experience in eCommerce accounting, bookkeeping, account reconciliations, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage eCommerce customer accounts, ensuring accurate customer data for financial transactions and support.
• Update customer records and provide historical sales information as requested.
• Oversee financial operations of online sales and monthly reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with revenue reporting, sales tax, ASC 606, and financial reporting standards.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all eCommerce transactions, including proper documentation in NetSuite for journal entries.
• Assist with monthly eCommerce revenue accounting to ensure sales are recorded in the correct accounts and periods.
• Handle cash applications efficiently, reconcile all cash applications, and investigate discrepancies.
• Communicate with customers and the credit department to clarify payment details.
• Interact with customers and internal departments regarding sales and account inquiries.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support various accounting projects and tasks as assigned by the accounting department.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Preferred experience working with NetSuite.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated base salary range: $28.91 to $38.00 per hour.
• Compensation packages consider factors such as skills, experience, training, certifications, business needs, market demands, and location.
• This role may be eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
• Salary range reflects base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits.

Location

• San Diego, California or remote with occasional travel (approximately 5%) to San Diego headquarters.
