Accounting Professionals: Evaluation of Core Workflows

Overview

This role is for participants in a paid research study focused on accounting workflows. The study evaluates how financial professionals manage daily tasks, assesses the efficiency of current software tools, and identifies opportunities to improve standard processes for core accounting operations.

Responsibilities

• Walk through a typical workflow for managing financial records or tax preparation
• Explain how you use specific features within your primary accounting software to complete these tasks
• React to different workflow scenarios and describe challenges you face during busy reporting periods
• Provide feedback on potential workflow improvements and software integrations

Requirements

• Mid-level accounting professional experience handling financial reporting, tax preparation, or bookkeeping
• Active role as an accountant, bookkeeper, or tax professional
• Practical experience using industry-standard platforms such as:
  • QuickBooks
  • UltraTax
  • CCH ProSystem fx
• Familiarity with managing daily financial reporting or tax preparation workflows
• Comfort discussing technical software challenges in a professional setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with one or more of the following tools:
  • QuickBooks Desktop
  • UltraTax CS
  • CCH ProSystem fx
  • Excel
• Experience including roles such as CPA, staff accountant, tax associate, or corporate bookkeeper

Compensation & Benefits

• $1,500 per task
