Accounting Specialist (Remote)

Overview

This contract role is for an Accounting Specialist working remotely from any location. The position offers a pay range of $20 to $60 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare and review financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations and assist with tax filings
• Process monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities promptly
• Support audit processes by providing accurate documentation and responding to auditor inquiries

Requirements

• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
• Experience with financial reporting and analysis
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders and team members
