Overview
This role oversees the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the accounts payable department. Responsibilities include managing payment processes, implementing financial controls, supporting process improvements, and leading the accounts payable team to ensure accurate and timely vendor payment activities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the conversion and implementation of Oracle NetSuite and related vendor systems
- Establish key controls for payment processing through the ERP and payment partners
- Manage invoice processing and verification from vendors
- Coordinate payment scheduling, issuance, and record maintenance
- Ensure timely payments to avoid penalties
- Implement and enforce financial controls and compliance procedures
- Serve as the point of contact for vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies
- Develop and maintain accounts payable policies and perform audits
- Analyze accounts payable data to identify trends and recommend improvements
- Prepare regular reports on accounts payable metrics
- Lead, train, and support the accounts payable team
- Ensure efficient and timely payment operations
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of work experience in accounts payable or finance
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Adaptability to implement new efficiencies, processes, or technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to identify and drive improvements for productivity and efficiency
- Highly organized with strong time management and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively
- Commitment to maintaining financial and ethical standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multiple ERP systems, especially Oracle NetSuite
- Experience in large retail or healthcare-oriented organizations
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
Compensation & Benefits
- Typical pay range: $60,300.00 to $132,600.00 annually
- Actual salary will vary based on factors such as experience, education, and location
- This position is eligible for bonus, commission, or short-term incentive programs in addition to base pay
