Overview

This Accounts Payable Specialist role supports accurate accounts payable processing, reconciliation, and exception handling. Work should be traceable and auditable—showing what source was used, what changed, what remains open, and who owns the next action.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile discrepancies before reporting or processing, ensuring documentation remains traceable and complete.
  • Track unresolved financial exceptions and ensure each exception has clear ownership.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation so another authorized teammate can verify the work without rebuilding its full history.
  • Protect confidential account information throughout the payable workflow.
  • Review financial inputs against supporting records to confirm accuracy and completeness.

Success Standard

Accurate financial records, reconciliation, and exception handling remain usable under ongoing operational demands. Repeated errors should become visible, exceptions should have owners, and the current state of work should be verifiable without reconstructing prior steps.

Requirements

  • Confidently use brand strategy operations workflows as they relate to accounts payable, reconciliation, and payable execution.
  • Maintain financial records without losing evidence, owners, or deadlines.
  • Document spreadsheet analysis decisions clearly enough for another teammate to follow the reasoning.
  • Use sound judgment for audit support and determine when escalation is needed rather than assuming resolution.
