Overview

This role involves managing accounts payable processes for a portfolio of renewable energy projects within a leading utility-scale solar and energy storage development company in the United States. The organization has a large and technologically advanced project portfolio exceeding 40.8 GW and provides comprehensive services throughout all phases of renewable energy project development.

Responsibilities

  • Manage invoices for a specific set of projects
  • Prepare batches of invoices for data entry, including two- and three-way matching to purchase orders
  • Receive and process invoices for goods and services, ensuring they match purchase orders
  • Coordinate invoice approval process with project managers and subject matter experts to ensure timely processing
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and reconcile vendor statements
  • Ensure vendor terms and discounts are accurately coded
  • Maintain proper backup documentation for research and reference
  • Meet deadlines and work within time constraints, particularly during weekly check runs and monthly close processes
  • Process employee expense reports, export data from Concur, and prepare uploads to the accounting system
  • Prepare electronic funds transfers and checks

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of accounts payable experience at a medium to large company
  • Project accounting experience managing 50+ simultaneous jobs or projects
  • Motivated self-starter with strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Experience working in a paperless environment
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Familiarity with Concur Expense Suite
  • Working knowledge of general ledger and accrual accounting
