Accounts Payable Vendor Relations Specialist

Overview

This role is fully remote.

This organization operates nationally in the infrastructure, technology, and energy sectors, specializing in HVAC, plumbing, and controls systems. The organization supports a broad team and focuses on service, collaboration, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Review and resolve vendor inquiries related to payment status, discrepancies, invoice receipt, statement reconciliation, and AP questions
• Communicate professionally with vendors regarding payment timing and invoice status
• Provide updates and follow through until vendor questions are resolved
• Create weekly payment files and submit for approval and processing
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve vendor issues promptly
• Provide coverage for the vendor relations team as needed
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to AP processes and controls
• Escalate complex or recurring issues and support process improvements

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of accounts payable and/or customer service experience; experience with high-volume vendor inquiries preferred
• Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience
• Proficiency with Sage software; experience with Stampli is advantageous
• Remote work within states currently supported by the organization; must support Arizona business hours
• Ability to work primarily on a computer with prolonged sitting
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and background screening
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities calmly and effectively
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Proactive issue resolution and follow-up skills
