Overview

This role involves managing accounts receivable tasks for high-volume, complex enterprise healthcare clients within the healthcare revenue cycle management industry. The focus is on supporting healthcare providers in managing accounts receivable and reimbursement processes by addressing billing complexities, denials, and reimbursement inefficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage follow-up and resolution of outstanding accounts for enterprise clients
  • Perform accounts receivable activities across multiple client and internal systems
  • Investigate and resolve complex denials, underpayments, and discrepancies
  • Coordinate with Billing, Account Management, and other teams on reimbursement issues
  • Monitor work queues to ensure timely and accurate account follow-up
  • Identify trends in denials, payer behavior, and workflow inefficiencies
  • Support reconciliation of payments and account balances across systems
  • Assist with client requests and provide account status updates
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs, client requirements, and internal standards
  • Provide guidance and support to AR Associates managing enterprise accounts

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of accounts receivable or revenue cycle experience
  • Strong knowledge of AR workflows, denial management, and payer follow-up
  • Experience with complex or high-volume accounts
  • Ability to navigate and reconcile data across multiple systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities
  • Preferred: experience with enterprise or multi-location healthcare clients
  • Preferred: familiarity with multiple billing systems or EHR platforms such as Epic
  • Preferred: experience in cross-functional environments and mentoring others
