Overview
This role is a remote Accounts Receivable Specialist position within the Accounting department of a multi-state law firm specializing in legal services for financial institutions and commercial clients. The specialist will be responsible for managing accounts receivable duties professionally and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Follow established team procedures and meet deadlines.
- Manage assigned client accounts by maintaining relationships and staying informed on payment history and open invoices.
- Track and resolve outstanding payment issues; generate aging reports as required.
- Communicate with clients to resolve payment concerns.
- Respond promptly and accurately to inquiries.
- Identify and document root cause issues related to payments.
- Accurately record daily time worked.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business preferred; high school diploma acceptable.
- Minimum two years of industry experience in billing, submissions, or accounts receivable.
- Two years of professional experience in a similar role or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with default industry client billing systems.
- Preferred experience in billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, cash application, or accounts payable.
- Preferred experience with ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics AX, SAP, or Oracle.
- Preferred experience with invoicing platforms like Black Knight’s LoanSphere, CoreLogic’s iClear, or Altisource’s REALRemit.
