Overview

The organization is seeking an AR & AP Lead to oversee accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) operations day to day. Responsibilities

  • Prepare the monthly AR ageing report for the CFO and exec team, including a clear plan to pursue aged receivables
  • Review the weekly payments file (including the Tipalti funding summary) before it is submitted for approval
  • Identify “at risk” customer accounts early and loop in the customer-facing team for support
  • Support accurate and timely month-end close; escalate one risk early to the Head of Financial Operations
  • Work with the AP Coordinator to improve and tidy up a clunky step in the AP process
  • Build and support KPI and reporting frameworks to keep stakeholders aligned and informed

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to reconcile data accurately and deliver reports without follow-up questions
  • Comfortable working through detailed customer accounts while also stepping back to build KPIs and reporting
  • Able to stay calm and effective around month-end deadlines, including:
    • Keeping AR and AP on track
    • Spotting risks early enough to act
    • Communicating clearly with stakeholders when priorities or plans need to change
  • Leadership and coaching capability, including:
    • Leading a small, tight-knit team
    • Providing clear, kind feedback
    • Supporting team growth
    • Having difficult conversations when processes or stakeholder relationships need improvement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading AR and AP processes, including month-end close and reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to identify risk early and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders

  • Meaningful support towards healthcare for team members around the world
  • Generous paid leave
  • Tailored learning and development opportunities
