Audit Associate

Overview

This remote Audit Associate position involves organizing, analyzing, and summarizing financial and non-financial information with a strong focus on detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Participate in meetings to document discussion points and action items
• Draft memorandums, conduct audit research, prepare audit work papers, and perform other ad hoc analyses
• Conduct initial reviews of audit documentation during unclaimed property examinations
• Perform preliminary analyses of audit responses, prepare summaries, and present initial recommendations to management

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; coursework in accounting, business, economics, or finance is advantageous but not required
• Experience reviewing and analyzing complex data sets
• Proficient with advanced Excel functions such as Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and logical formulas
• Strong communication skills for interacting with internal and external parties
• Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently, handle multiple assignments, manage ambiguity, and adapt to changing priorities and processes
• Proactive and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively to meet team objectives
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn and develop skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Positive and organized professional demeanor
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now and in the future

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $52,000 – $55,000, depending on location, experience, and skill set
