Audit/Assurance Manager

Overview

Audit / Assurance Managers manage client relationships while auditing client financial records for compliance with generally accepted accounting rules and standards. This role involves analyzing financial data, leading audit engagements, and advising clients on potential accounting and tax needs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze client financial records to identify potential accounting issues and research proposed solutions
• Train, mentor, and manage team members in audit processes
• Build new and strengthen existing client relationships while demonstrating basic knowledge of clients’ businesses
• Communicate with clients as requested, and provide recommendations to support clients with financial or tax needs

Requirements

• 4+ years of audit experience at a public accounting firm
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• CPA certification highly desired or ability to attain
• Willingness to work onsite preferred; hybrid/remote work may be considered for experienced talent

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with audit engagements in a public accounting environment

Work Schedule

• Flexibility to adjust the typical Monday–Friday 8a–5p schedule to support personal or family time, as long as business needs are met

• Service locations include 19 office locations, including 13 in Wisconsin (Black Earth, Door County, Fort Atkinson, Mauston, Marshfield, Portage, Reedsburg, Sauk City, Sun Prairie, Tomah, Wausau, Wisconsin Dells–Lake Delton) plus corporate headquarters in Baraboo
• Additional offices in Phoenix, Goodyear, and Chandler, Arizona; Scottsbluff and Kimball, Nebraska; and Durango, Colorado
