Billing Analyst

Overview

A virtual Controller Shared Services team is seeking a motivated and experienced Billing Analyst to support the Billing Team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The role involves delivering exceptional customer service while managing billing processes accurately and efficiently. Although the primary hiring focus is in Arizona, Tennessee, Alabama, and Virginia, candidates from other locations may be considered based on qualifications and fit.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process customer invoices timely and accurately
• Analyze unbilled reports, provide explanations, and drive resolution
• Research and resolve short-paid invoices promptly
• Collaborate with various functional departments to resolve billing issues
• Prepare billing reconciliations and analyses
• Meet critical deadlines and achieve departmental goals
• Lead billing meetings with internal and external customers
• Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with no experience, or a diploma with 3 years of work experience
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced virtual remote environment while meeting deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and collaboratively
• Proactive work approach
• Access to reliable high-speed internet for remote work and virtual meetings
• Excellent attention to detail and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint ERP or similar large corporation systems
• Certification or additional training in billing or finance-related fields

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $50,000 to $57,000, based on experience, skills, abilities, internal equity, and location

• Pay range guideline: $45,500 to $82,250, with final offer based on multiple factors including job responsibilities, education, experience, and market data
