Overview
This entry-level Bookkeeper position involves delivering accurate, high-quality financial services to support small business owners in understanding their financial information. The role collaborates closely with an Account Manager on client strategy, execution, and monthly reporting.
Responsibilities
- Process weekly financial transactions for multiple clients using QuickBooks Online
- Assist with payroll and sales tax filings
- Support management of accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare and review weekly client dashboards, cash forecasts, and financial reports
- Participate in Zoom meetings with clients to review financial information and discuss client strategy
- Communicate regularly with clients via email regarding financial records, questions, and outstanding needs
- Provide support for additional bookkeeping projects as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely financial records for assigned client accounts
- Follow established policies and procedures
- Complete assigned work accurately and within required deadlines
- Collaborate closely with the Account Manager on client execution and monthly reporting
- Deliver timely, high-quality financial reports that support informed business decisions
Requirements
- Some professional experience or coursework in bookkeeping, accounting, finance, or a related field
- Familiarity with QuickBooks Online preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effective organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Comfortable using Excel, Word, Zoom, and similar business tools
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and committed to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work with small business owners in a supportive, professional, and judgment-free manner
- Comfortable working in a structured and fast-paced remote environment
Compensation
- Pay range: $15-$18 per hour
