Controller Analyst - PJ - Remote (Brazil)

Overview

The organization is seeking a Controller Analyst to join the Finance team as an independent contractor (Pessoa Jurídica - PJ). This role is based in Brazil and focuses on accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, customer refunds, and financial reporting to ensure accurate financial information and improved internal processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor accounts receivable to ensure incoming payments are accurately recorded and allocated.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate/resolve discrepancies between bank transactions and internal records.
• Classify financial transactions and maintain accurate, up-to-date financial information.
• Manage customer refunds by reviewing supporting documentation and coordinating processing with the relevant teams.
• Monitor overdue balances, follow up on outstanding payments, and support collection activities.
• Track cash movements and support cash flow monitoring.
• Support operational departments with payment queries, financial information, and reconciliation issues.
• Prepare financial reports and Power BI dashboards to monitor indicators and support decision-making.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial controls, streamline workflows, and automate recurring tasks.

Requirements

• A degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• At least five years of experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role.
• Experience with accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial controls.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems and databases.
• Knowledge of Power BI, including creating and maintaining reports and dashboards.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with close attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
• Strong organizational skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

Compensation & Benefits

• Monthly fee: BRL 5,500.
