Overview

A well-established organization in the supply industry is seeking a Credit Specialist to join their team. This position is fully remote and open to candidates located anywhere in the United States. The role involves managing credit accounts, customer interactions, and account reconciliations within a high-volume call environment.

Responsibilities

  • Handle approximately 50 inbound calls per shift, addressing customer inquiries and account issues
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
  • Manage simple, non-sensitive credit accounts following established guidelines
  • Receive customer payments and reconcile outstanding account balances
  • Prepare periodic reports on accounts receivable and past due status
  • Provide routine clerical support including simple calculations and file maintenance
  • Approve order ticket releases for credit accounts on restriction
  • Update and summarize receivables as needed
  • Notify and resolve uncollected CODs and process NSF checks
  • Research and resolve credit card chargebacks
  • Process payments for open customer accounts
  • Identify customer needs and resolve issues promptly

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of credit experience
  • Ability to work 8am-5pm EST or CST
  • Call center experience is a plus
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Flexibility to adjust work schedule as needed
  • Strong and accurate data entry skills
  • Basic math proficiency
  • Proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs and make timely decisions
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment and follow through on commitments

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly pay range: $19.62 - $27.45 (may vary by location and candidate qualifications)
