Data Analyst

Overview

This role involves analyzing data by combining multiple data sources and researching system and healthcare issues to deliver on-time research and analysis. The work supports solutions for issues of low to moderate scope and complexity.

Responsibilities

• Compile, organize, and perform performance, cost, budget, and specialized data analysis to document and identify trends or potential issues.
• Reconcile data and develop explanations for variances as necessary.
• Meet with requestors to gather requirements and develop solutions for reports, trends, measures, and forecasts.
• Maintain responsibility for assigned reports, ensuring they are produced accurately and on a timely basis.
• Establish and maintain relationships with business owners of reports.
• Respond to customer questions and requests in a timely manner.
• Maintain documentation and ensure procedures support department and organization policies and procedures.
• Work with management to understand and interpret the impact of decisions by retrieving, analyzing, and identifying variations and trends in healthcare delivery, then communicating findings.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare, Information Management, or equivalent experience.
• If supporting Ecclesiastes contract, must be a U.S. Citizen.
• If supporting Ecclesiastes contract, must be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation.
• 1 year of experience in healthcare analysis, data management, or equivalent training or education.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with healthcare claims and payment data.
• Basic knowledge of JIRA and ability to write user stories in Agile.
• Proficiency with computer systems, database applications, Microsoft Office, structured query language (SQL), MS Azure, Databricks, and/or Edifecs.
• Experience with business process needs analysis and requirements gathering.
• Experience with JAD sessions and performing detailed fact gathering.
• Familiarity with reporting tools such as PowerBI.
