Data & Billing Specialist Full-Time

Overview

Full-time Data & Billing Specialist role supporting finance leadership as a backup and support pillar for day-to-day billing operations and data reliability. This position requires remote work with scheduling overlap in US Eastern Time.

Responsibilities

• Own daily billing operations in Ordway, including translating SOW contract terms into subscription models.
• Manage and maintain the sync between Ordway and QuickBooks Online (QBO) to keep the general ledger accurate.
• Support the Head of Finance and Controller with ad-hoc data requests, financial reporting, and audit preparation.
• Proactively audit and maintain data cleanliness and reliability across financial systems.
• Use data tools such as Coupler and SaasAnt to manipulate and import data with high attention to detail.
• Identify opportunities to streamline the technology stack and propose more efficient workflows (including Ramp, Cube, and Claude AI).

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Google Sheets/Excel, including comfort with complex data manipulation.
• Extensive experience managing end-to-end billing cycles and executing complex invoicing workflows while ensuring accurate, timely revenue capture.
• Knowledge and experience automating manual processes to increase team efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Ordway.
• Knowledge of Ramp, Cube, Coupler, or SaasAnt.
• Understanding of international accounting nuances (including transfer pricing).
• Comfort using AI tools (including Claude) to enhance productivity and data analysis.

Schedule & Coordination

• Full-time, 8-hour day, Monday-Friday.
• Remote, with at least 3 hours overlap with US Eastern Standard Time (EST), with flexibility at the beginning to learn and during month-end closing.

Location

Serbia — Belgrade. Remote role with US Eastern Time overlap required.
