Overview
This role is for Certified Contractor Analysts operating as independent contractors within a private capital ecosystem. Analysts support fund managers, investors, and operators by providing deal analysis and financial diligence on live transactions. The position offers immediate earning potential upon certification and verification, with compensation based on an Analyst Rating Score and credentials.
Responsibilities
Depending on certification approvals, Deal Analysis Associates may perform the following tasks:
- Financial modeling including 3-statement models, DCF, LBO, and commercial real estate underwriting
- Sensitivity and scenario analysis
- Comparable company and precedent transaction analysis
- Preparation of valuation summaries
- Support for Quality of Earnings (QoE) analysis
- Commercial and operational diligence
- Risk identification and downside analysis
- Assistance with investment memos and investment committee presentations
Analysts are only authorized to perform work in categories for which they have received specific approval through assessment and demonstrated performance.
Requirements
Candidates must meet at least one of the following to qualify:
- Score 70% or higher in at least one category of the Analyst Certification Assessment
- Completion of approved financial training
- Hold an active professional credential such as CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent
Certification Tiers and Compensation
Analyst levels and typical pay ranges are as follows:
- Senior Analyst: Rating Score 90–100; $150–200/hour; typically 5+ years in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, senior consulting, or development
- Lead Analyst: Rating Score 80–89; $100–150/hour; typically 3–5 years of deal execution, modeling, or diligence experience
- Deal Analysis Associate: Rating Score 60–79; $50–100/hour; entry to mid-level analysts with strong technical skills
Compensation & Deal Economics
- Independent contractor status
- Hourly rates vary by Analyst Rating Score and approval level
- Eligible to earn up to 10% of the first $100,000 in transaction fees, capped at $2,500 per transaction
- Payments issued only after successful deal completion and fee collection
- Approvals and platform access may be revoked for quality or compliance issues
