Overview

This role involves joining a private capital ecosystem as a Certified Deal Control Analyst operating as an independent contractor. Analysts support investors, fund managers, and operators by monitoring, controlling, and validating transaction execution within private market deals. The position offers immediate earning potential through paid analytical work on live deals.

Responsibilities

Depending on certification approvals, Deal Control Analysts may be engaged in:

  • Tracking and validating deal execution against agreed terms
  • Ensuring financial, operational, and regulatory controls are in place and followed
  • Identifying discrepancies, exceptions, or risks in live transactions
  • Providing oversight for deal integrity and compliance
  • Supporting Quality of Earnings (QoE) reviews and operational diligence
  • Evaluating transaction documentation, financial models, and risk controls
  • Assisting in risk mitigation and control procedures for deals
  • Preparing dashboards, summaries, and control reports for stakeholders
  • Tracking corrective actions and resolution of issues
  • Helping implement standardized deal control processes

Note: Analysts may only perform work in categories they are approved for. Approvals are earned through assessment and performance.

Requirements

Candidates must meet at least one of the following to qualify:

  • Score 70% or higher in at least one category of the Analyst Certification Assessment
  • Complete approved financial training
  • Hold an active professional credential such as CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent

Certification Tiers and Pay Ranges

  • Senior Deal Control Analyst

    • Rating Score: 90–100
    • Pay: $150–200/hour
    • Typical Background: Ex-investment banking, private equity, venture capital, senior consulting, or finance/risk professionals with 5+ years of experience
  • Lead Deal Control Analyst

    • Rating Score: 80–89
    • Pay: $100–150/hour
    • Typical Background: Finance professionals with 3–5 years of deal oversight, modeling, or control experience
  • Deal Control Analyst / Associate

    • Rating Score: 60–79
    • Pay: $50–100/hour
    • Typical Background: Entry to mid-level analysts with strong technical, monitoring, or analytical skills

Compensation & Deal Terms

  • Hourly rates depend on Analyst Rating Score and approval level
  • Analysts operate as independent contractors, not employees
  • Potential to earn up to 10% of the first $100,000 in transaction fees, with a maximum of $2,500 per transaction
  • Payments are issued only after successful deal completion and fee collection
  • Analyst Rating Score (0–100) determines platform visibility, approved work categories, and recommended hourly rates
  • Approvals and platform access may be revoked for quality, compliance, or performance issues

Compliance

Deal Control Analysts do not:

  • Provide investment advice
  • Solicit or sell securities
  • Represent the platform in a regulated or fiduciary capacity

All work is strictly limited to analytical, monitoring, control, and support functions in compliance with applicable securities laws.
